Only very gentle downward stroking with the fingertips for 45-60 seconds with a slow out-breath; no point pressure.
Xiphoid process area: do not press deeply — the process is fragile and internal organs lie beneath it. Superficial stroking only. Seek immediate medical care for chest pain radiating to the arm, neck or jaw.
