Meridian

Pericardium meridian

Location

On the anterior aspect of the arm, between the long and short heads of the biceps brachii muscle, 2 B-cun inferior to the anterior axillary fold.

What it helps with

Gently loosens a squeezed feeling in the chest and a heart that races with nerves, and eases a dull ache down the front-inner arm.

How to work on it

Cup the upper arm with the opposite hand and knead the belly of the biceps with the thumb for 45-60 seconds; 2 rounds on each arm.

Caution

Do not press deeply into the inner groove of the arm - the brachial artery and nerves run there; if you feel a pulse under the finger or a shooting sensation into the hand, move onto the muscle and lighten the pressure.
