Meridian

Lung meridian

Location

On the anterolateral aspect of the forearm, between the radial styloid process and the radial artery, 1 B-cun proximal to the palmar wrist crease (between LU7 and LU9).

What it helps with

Gently softens a dry cough, a scratchy or hoarse throat and a tight chest, and helps release a tense wrist.

How to work on it

Press very lightly with the thumb pad for 30-45 seconds, staying slightly toward the bone; 2 rounds on each hand.

Caution

The point sits right beside the radial artery - do not press hard and never compress the pulse. If you feel a pulse under your finger, shift a couple of millimetres toward the bone.
