Jimai · 急脉 · Urgent Pulse

Meridian

Liver meridian

Location

In the inguinal region, inferolateral to the pubic tubercle, 2.5 B-cun lateral to the anterior median line, in the inguinal groove; the pulsation of the femoral artery can be felt here.

What it helps with

Gently supports dragging discomfort in the groin and lower abdomen and a feeling of tightness in this area.

How to work on it

Lying on the back with the knees bent, rest the finger pads in the inguinal groove and hold a very light, superficial contact for 20-30 seconds on each side, breathing calmly.

Caution

The femoral artery runs right here and the inguinal lymph nodes lie alongside: do not press through, move aside if you feel a pulse under the fingers, and do not work for long. Do not use during pregnancy. With pain, a lump or a bulge in the groin (possible hernia), do not work the point and see a doctor.
