Meridian

Heart meridian

Location

On the anteromedial aspect of the arm, just medial to the border of the biceps brachii muscle, 3 B-cun superior to the cubital crease (above HT3), on the line running toward the armpit.

What it helps with

Gently loosens a shoulder that resists lifting, eases a dull ache along the inner arm and the clamped feeling across the shoulder girdle.

How to work on it

Cup the upper arm with the opposite hand and knead softly with the thumb for 45-60 seconds on each arm, keeping the shoulder relaxed.

Caution

The brachial artery and nerves run in the inner groove of the arm - do not press deeply. If you feel a pulse under the finger, a shooting sensation or tingling in the hand, ease off and move slightly toward the muscle belly.
