BL38 Fuxi

Fuxi · 浮郄 · Superficial Cleft

Meridian

Bladder meridian

Location

On the back of the knee, 1 cun above the popliteal crease, on the medial side of the biceps femoris tendon (directly above BL39).

What it helps with

Stiffness and tension behind the knee, cramping sensations along the back of the thigh.

How to work on it

Bend the knee slightly, find the tendon and press gently beside it for 30-45 seconds.

Caution

Do not press deep into the popliteal fossa — vessels and a nerve run there; skip the point if there are varicose veins.
